Madonna Dethroned Steven Spielberg in The First Place of The Richest Stars in 2013

We do not call the "Material Girl" for nothing.
Madonna  arrived No. 1-ranked Forbes richest between June 2012 and June 2013 stars, surpassing the likes of director Steven Spielberg  and music mogul Simon Cowell .

The $ 125 million that the Queen of Pop 55 years have raised, according to an estimate of the magazine Forbes , come largely from the phenomenal success of her world tour MDNA, who won a staggering $ 305 million. And this despite the fact that the album of the same name has flopped in the charts, selling only a million copies in the United States.

To achieve this feat, Madonna has also relied on the sale of merchandising during her tour and has rounded ends meet with other business in parallel: her perfume, her clothing line and various investments.

Her greatest rival was Spielberg, who won $ 100 million thanks to the success of his latest theatrical movie, Lincoln, and he continues to receive royalties on his filmography and a percentage of entries in amusement parks Universal.
Closely following the famous director and winning third place with 95 million dollars in the bank, there is Simon Cowell and the author of Fifty Shades of Grey, EL James, and Howard Stern.

Cowell has perhaps not picked staggering audience figures with the last season of X Factor, but it is still well out this year, thanks to income pocketed by selling the rights of X Factor and Got Talent channels of a dozen countries.
As for James, it can take full advantage of its revenues bestseller, whose rights were purchased by Universal Studios to adapt it to film.
Stern, meanwhile, can count on his radio show on SiriusXM and a stamp of $15 million per year to take the role of judge on America's Got Talent.
The author James Patterson won the sixth place with $91 million, followed by the conservative commentator Glenn Beck with $90 million, thanks to his media empire which never ceases to grow.

Coming complete the Top 10, we find the director of TransformersMichael Bay, who won eighth place with $82 million, the mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer, in ninth place with $80 million, and in 10th place, Lady Gaga , who pocketed $80 million, despite the fact that she had to cut short her tour Born This Way Ball because of a hip injury, she has recovered since.
